It's been incredibly frustrating and time consuming trying to get the camera and render settings to line up correctly. I am using a Sony a6000 camera that is an APS C crop factor with a 35mm prime lens. I have done the math, set all the parameters in Maya yet seem to get unequal sizing between resolution and film gates. This has set me back hours on the project. Sadly I like troubleshooting these types of issues but not at the cost of rising stress because the assignment due date streams closer every moment. My best guess is that even though I shot the photos in 16/9 aspect ratio the RAW images are importing with all of the 3/2 data causing my Image plane to take on a different format and in turn causing my issue. If I had more time I would go into Photoshop and realign and crop all of the images to a definitive resolution but I cant. it would take to lone to set everything back up within Maya. As it is my objects still apear to hover above the background image so I will probably adjust manually and hope for the best.
